Chemipro OXI / Richies / Star san

Does anyone use this? Is it similar to star san or worse? It says no rinse on it.

I have only used VWP before but am considering a no rinse option. Star san only seems to be in small volume though?

Also is Chemipro now Richies or something that I read on one site?

Chemipro Oxi is a percarbonate sanitizer. There's an air of mistrust around here about it, since percarbonate has been proved to not be an effective sanitizer. That being said, we also think that it contains phosphorica acid and some other things.

Dunno about chemipro's ownership. Might well be Ritchies. Downturn in the economy = consolidation.

If you have star-san, i would personally stick to that. Star-san is a pretty cool product.

Chemipro Oxi is basically a percarbonate which is like soda crystals with a bit of peroxide built-in. It's similar to an American product called one-step. Although it does have a sanitising property I personally wouldn't use it as one as it isn't that good a sanitiser. It is a pretty good cleaner though. I'm pretty certain it's sourced from Brouwland in Belgium as they sell a range of Chemipro products.

I wouldn't steer clear of it altogether. As Steve said it is a pretty good cleaner, magic stuff, or at least the "Wizz Oxi Ultra Plus" is (99p 500 grammes from Robert Dyas - £1.25 in Tescos). Much better than soda crystals if you use that sort of thing.
