£21 is great value DaaB 8)

I've had a look for a technical spreadsheet on V18 but can't find one :?
Is it just 10%w/w povidone iodine :?: ie, iodophor

I'll find out tomorrow as everywhere's knocked off now.
I phoned a few equine places as well in my search and I found a few alternatives but most were 5%, though as you say that's not a big problem

Just spoken to Evans

V18 is an acidified sanitiser which contains 1.8% w/w povidone iodine.
As supplied it has a ph of 0.7 and diluted 1/250 a ph of 2.5.

Fam 30 is also an acidified sanitiser which contains 3% w/w povidone iodine. As suppied it has a ph of 0.1 and diluted 1/180 a ph of 2.1.

Bufferdine is a fish egg wash which has no acidic ingredients so to speak.
It contains 1% povidone iodine and has a ph of 6.

They would recommend none are used as no rinse and residue should be rinsed with water. I do this with boiling water anyway!

Am I right in thinking that because the iodine concentration is lower I will be using more of these products as compared to Videne which is 10%w/w :?

Vossy, betadine is a 10% solution and Videne either a 7 or 10%
Don't know why I said Videne was 10%, I meant Betadine

Regards iodine going after the sugary deposits, I wonder if that's why my iodophor soln was disolouring when pumped through the PC. Having said that I also experienced the same colour loss with my cfc.

I'll have a look at the Star San

I've been having some problems with the plate chiller, to the extent where I am thinking of going back to the cfc, albeit slightly modified

My brother- in-law is a vet nurse and gave me a bottle of Vetasept Povidone-Iodine antiseptic solution aqueous 1% w/w, there are no other ingredients listed.
I don't know how much it cost, I think it fell off the back of a hamster.
Does anyone else us this or heard of this?
How do I work out what concentration to use for a rinse free sanitiser. Are there any online calculators?

What you need is a clever hamster to give you the answer :wall :P
