Bottle rinser

Post by sbond10 » Thu Dec 26, 2013 12:13 am

For those with this bit of kit how do you dry yours, do you pull it apart after every use or just empty the bowl then spray the remains out then leave upside down for a few hours then press the plunger again then put away.
Any tips would be great

Cheers Sean

I pull mine apart, I like to make sure the spring is dry which is easier if I have it in bits draining. Only takes a second and will dry quicker!

I used to take it apart, but now just leave it draining upside down.

I just worry taking it apart constantly could stress the plastic then snap

It could do, but the plastic does seem to be quite solid. As others said though turning if upside down should work too.

Never given it any though, I use, drain and let mine dry with everything else. It's well cleaned with cleaning solution and stainless spring ( I should hope so) after a few squirts the next time you use it it's good to go.

Good piece of kit, which I have typically taken apart rinsed and dried before putting away. Doubt it matters much, I blame my Mother :D .

Mine has now sheared off at the base of the threads, unfortunately for me this is the second one that has suffered the same fate  I think that the next one will not be taken down each time I use it.

I just put a bag over the top of mine and chuck it back in the shed.

A cheeky rinse under the tap, give it a good shake, spray with Starsan and just throw it in the storage box to dry.
I am far more likely to break it taking it to pieces to dry it etc, so dont bother.

I have noticed hair line cracks in the bowl where it joins the rack. Want to get a replacement before it goes but don't want to buy the whole kit. Anyone know where?

I've never seen the parts available as spares, only the whole kit.
Sorry.
