Oxi vs PBW vs TSP
Oxi vs PBW vs TSP
Any comments on the relative efficacy of these cleaners? I've been using oxiclean but found that TSP was able to make stuff cleaner.
Re: Oxi vs PBW vs TSP
Originally, due to cost of Oxi I started using TSP and have done so now for 7 years. I'm still very happy with it.

Oxi is a pound for a tub from poundland etc. Never seen tsp that cheap and certainly not pbw. Pbw however is better in hard water areas. I'd make my own pbw if i knew how to.

I've used oxi and it worked fine, you just couldn't leave anything to soak in it for more than a few minutes as it would leave a hard deposit. This might be due to my hard water.
I switched to PBW while playing with a plate chiller, and while it costs a fortune, it was so effective I couldn't help but continue to use it.

I too, read this thread, it lead me on to a few other forums via googling homemade PBW etc. so around and around I went. I got a bit of info and I thought it's worth a try to make homemade PBW .
Then I come back here and find its grown a bit more, seems like we have all been thinking the same thing.
Edit.
The only thing I found was homemade PBW does not have chelates, so will sill leave deposits unless you add a chelating agent.
