Tips for storing syphon pipe

Post by Soay4699 » Tue Aug 02, 2016 5:26 pm

I find I can't seem to be able to totally dry out my nylon pipes before I notice mold growths appearing in them.

What are some good tips for preventing mold and storing tubing?

I'm storing mine filled with starsan solution in a "U" shape. An old hard drive magnet across the top of the U keeps it attached to my metal shelf.

I could just plug the ends, or keep it coiled in a container of starsan.
I brew therefore I ... I .... forget

simply hang up to drain dry and keep aired dont coil up and seal when damp if you need to coil up and stash away do so after a day or 2 hanging up and well dried and never in a closed tight container, think empty fridge left sealed and unpowered :( .
ist update for months n months..

I just rinse them well in starsan solution then stick them over the shower rail and let them drip dry. Couple of hours does it. No water spots, nothing....

I put a sticky hook above the sink. When the big drops are out I hang over the kitchen door.
