I use the "Wizz Oxi Powder" from Poundstretcher. It works out at £1.60 per kg.
The active ingredient of this stuff is sodium percarbonate.
Does anyone know or can hazard an educated guess, what percentage of this stuff is actual sodium percarbonate?
I tried getting a MSDS but I can't find one on the web.
Thought I would save some money and I had a look for suppliers of pure sodium percarbonate on line and it's a lot more expensive.
Now some of this cost will be delivery for a heavy item but even if I bought 25kg it would still be more expensive at about £2 per kg.
PS - I now use this instead of dishwasher tablets and it's better and a lot cheaper.

From what I can glean from the interweb and pack/tub itself (as it usually says on it) about 30% SP. So I bought SP from ebay (85%) instead as it doesnt leave the residue OC's do
Re: Pounderstretcher Oxi Powder Sodium Percarbonate content?
I know this is a pretty dull post!
I have found the info I am looking for. It appears that it has these 3 ingredients in descending order:
SODIUM SULFATE A filler, does nothing. Apparently an effective laxative if you need one!
SODIUM CARBONATE PEROXIDE The cleaner 30 - 60%
SODIUM SESQUICARBONATE A water softener 1- 5%
So I guess that the SC content will be closer to 30% most of time as the SS is very cheap. Which means that it costs about £4 - £5 a kilo.
So there some savings to be had by buying "pure" SP.
After all that, not sure I will bother as I'll probably just make too strong mixtures and end up using more.
Bit of a pointless thread really...........,

The wizz oxy stuff does work, however if you can get involved in a group buy PBW can be had for <£8.00 a kg.
