I leave it in the PC. As I place it upside down i.e. ports down, there is no chance of anything getting in. I leave it like that till I attach the hoses.

Oh and while you are using the pressure cooker throw in that silicone (not PVC) transfer tubing, jam jar (lid off) and stainless steel gravy ladle to let you do nice clean transfers and harvest some of that yeast cake at the same time.

As per other replies or as per your suggestion. Either will work, it'll be virtually sterile at that point. It's best to flush and clean the chiller straight after use though.
