Old Tom Original - Robinson's Brewery

Picked some of this up in the supermarket for not very much - I think £1.80 a bottle.

Strong, dark ale - with chocolate afternotes. 8.5% abv. It's almost porter like but a touch lighter but not one for the hops heads. It seems to have won the World's Best Ale award.

I find this very drinkable - dangerously so!

There's a recipe in GW's brew your own book which I've made and it worked well.

Lovely on draft, never had a bottle of it though.
JDW's have it in the October beer festival regularly.
