Stuck Fermentation.
Stuck Fermentation.
Hi, I've done four all grain brews now, 3 BIAB and one in my new Brewster all in one. Every one has started fermenting vigorously and the stopped at around 1.032. If it was just one brew I wouldn't worry but all four is a concern. I keep my temperatures at around 20 degrees, varying by adegree either way. Any ideas? I use Safale 04 or 05 mainly.

Mash temperature too high. check your thermometer and where your readings are taken in case there are hot spots denaturing enzymes.
Hydrometer inaccurate. Very unlikely as you will have checked it in water.
Using a refractometer to measure gravity without correction for alcohol presence.
SO4 is the least likely cause as it started. it usually finishes if it has half a chance.
