just found this, it claims
5.2 is a proprietary blend of buffers that will lock in your mash and kettle water at a pH of 5.2 regardless of the starting pH of your water
Anyone tried it ? seems alot simpler than playing around with measuring ph and different compounds !

Never tried it, but read quite a lot about it on the US forums. The general consensus is that it doesn't work, but you should find a lot of reading over there if you search for it.
