biab bag
Re: biab bag
I give mine a good rinse to get as much grain out as possible and then it goes in the washing machine with lots of other white stuff.
Re: biab bag
what about soap from inside the machine you would get some on the bagrpt wrote:I give mine a good rinse to get as much grain out as possible and then it goes in the washing machine with lots of other white stuff.

I rinse mine under the tap to rid it of the worst crap, then it goes through a rinse cycle in the washer. I don't use any soap in the washer.
Re: biab bag
yes but there would still be a bit of soap left behind in the detergent drawer
as I did this with a sponge from my fish pond filter and I could still smell washing powder

I rinse mine as much as possible then hang up to dry. Once it's dry you can give it a good shake, inside and out, to get rid of any bits.

Same here. I've never washed it with detergent.alexlark wrote:I rinse mine as much as possible then hang up to dry. Once it's dry you can give it a good shake, inside and out, to get rid of any bits.
It dries in minutes and gets put away. No signs of mould or smells at all and it does get sanitised with every brew

rinse out most of the grain, dry, flex n shake (outside) to de-flour, and perhaps repeat
there is too much residue in a washing machines pump feed sump recirculating the rinse cycles for my liking, the level of washing machine reside may be fine for most folks clothes tho some need to use non biologicals, but its way too much for my brew kit..
