I do wish people would get the opportunity to brew a beer commercially, and out amongst the paying public, they may then have more respect for the professionals.
You would be wrong to presume I'm not involved with a commercial brewery.
You would be wrong to assume that people solely refers to Eric. As this is a homebrew forum it is fair to assume the majority are hobbyists.

In future, for correctness it might help my interpretation if you listed those you exclude. I'm sorry if my powers are not up to those necessary to fully understand your postings and assume when you quote me you might be replying to me. Sorry.

Sorry for using such complex grammatical devices as plural nouns.

Worts made with modest amount of oats will go rancid without the sanitising influence of being well boiled with hops present and beers after normal fermentation have short shelf lives.
Got some solid evidence for this claim?
Yes.
Here it is. I'd be pleased should you not ask for further details. I'm already treated with deep suspicion by some in denial of fact, choosing to be very selective in what they are prepared to debate. I just hope more may be open to reading all information, not just what suits their cause.

Series of tests to determine whether
bacterial infection inherent to raw oats
would survive the copper boil and therefore
infect the wort

Series l.- Grist: 90 per cent malt, 10 per
cent flaked oats by weight; mashed for the
usual period and then boiled (with no copper
hops) without filtration for half hour and 1.5
hours respectively. Cooled under sterile
conditions and then forced at 80° F. Heavy
bacterial infection developed within 3 days in
the sample boiled for 0.5 hour and slight
infection in 4 days in the 1.5 hour boiled sample.
The worts from Series of tests to determine whether
the all malt grists treated in the same way and
subjected to the same boiling periods did not
show bacterial infection after 17 days.

Series 2.—Series 1 was repeated with the
following alterations: The worts in each case
were hopped at the rate of 0.75 Ib. hops per
barrel. The shorter boiling period was
raised to 1 hour, the longer boiling period
remaining at 1.5 hours. Two different flaked
oat samples were used; there was also
included a wort made from a grist consisting
of 10 per cent flaked barley and 90 per cent.
malt, as well as one from an all malt grist.
The following results were obtained:
After a cultivational period of 4 days none of
the worts showed apparent infection. After
10 days a microscopical examination of each
cultivation showed no infection in the case of
the hopped samples whether the boiling
period was 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
A control series boiled for 1 hour without
hops showed bacterial infection in the case
of one oat sample and goes to confirm the
result obtained under Series 1.

A plural noun is a word that indicates that there is more than one person.
Pedantic or pathetic?

Maybe use others rather than people in future for clarity.

I think we have already established that I have a relaxed attitude to clarity.

As long as nobody calls it CHS brewed by incompetent brewers who have jumped on a bandwagon in the hope of getting rich quick. But beware. The multinationals are on the case Fischer have recently brought out a big gun in the war and it's called "Trois Houblons". They are all European varieties expertly blended and it's crystal clear.
Edit. Likewise Leffe have also a new range of single hop beers which are excellent and clear. At least we now have a choice between soup and beer.

But Beware? I quite welcome the big guns diversifying. More choice for all. Sadly, Trois Houblon gets some pretty average ratings, so maybe the big guns are also missing the point that there target market opt for flavour and aroma over clarity. As a consumer, big breweries are no more a threat to craft beer, than Macdonalds are to lovers of good food, whenever they jump on each new food trend.

Enjoying 'craft' beer and more 'traditional' beers are not mutually exclusive.

Don't knock until you have tried it.

Purely relaying the feedback from popular rating sites used by their target market.

Average score of 2.82 of 5 on untappd, 2.65 on rate beer.

Send me a bottle and I'll give it a fair assessment. Although you are being slightly hypocritical, unless you have drunk every craft beer ever produced and found them all to be overhopped soup or akin to Whatneys red barrel.
