Jim's Beer Kit Newsletter November 2009
Hello from Jim’s Beer Kit!
So what’s been going
on at JBK since the last newsletter (can you remember that far back
)?
5th Anniversary Brew
Believe it or not, JBK reached the ripe old age of 5 in September, so some of our members decided to mark the 5th Anniversary of the forum with a celebratory brew. The mass brewday thread can be found here.
Membership To Top 4000!
Although it's hard
to believe, in just a few short years our membership has grown fast, and we are
now about to cross the 4000 member mark! I can still remember when we put the
flags out for getting up to 100. ![]()
Testing new Munton’s beer kits
Following a request from Simon Scott (formerly of Vina but now working for Muntons) several of our members have volunteered for the onerous task of testing their new St Peter’s Suffolk Ruby Red kits and their IBrew system. See how they are getting on here.
lovemoney.com
This website devoted to thrift (and therefore dear to my own heart) has published an article on homebrewing by Malcolm Wheatley called 'How to Slash the Cost of a Pint' and JBK has been listed as the place to go for advice on brewing. I couldn't agree with him more.
Happy brewing,
Jim
