Re: Pump. Centrifugal??
OK so if you look at the PDF here, and scroll down to page 3 where the English section starts, you'll see that the max liquid temperature is 35°C. Less good for hot wort?

Re: Split Electrim = new boiler.
The ones I know are in Ealing Road, Alperton , and this one , and yes they should still have the stainless pots. You could phone up and see if they would post one to you. Make sure you mention 50 litres or "size 24" "stainless water jar", which I think is the height in inches or something, as they h...

Re: Suitable for Boiler?
For about £25 you could get a big stainless jar from one of those south Asian catering shops, supposing you have one nearby: http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj175/edit1now/22litrestoragejar0955.jpg I know someone who has two 50-litre ones, either can be HLT or boiler as he has two elements in ea...

Re: Kegerator taps
The same chap sells extenders , and the page for those has a little table saying that his 5/8" tap shanks are 14 TPI, so they are BSP thread but not necessarily BSP size. You can tell by looking it's not the US 1-1/8"-18 size. Worth contacting the seller (I expect he speaks English) and asking if th...

Re: Suitable for Boiler?
Contact the seller and ask what it's made of, and how thick the side walls are.
Polypropylene is good, polythene isn't, and ideally you want 3mm walls, as some thinner food buckets will sag under the weight of your element and other fittings.

If you're going to use lots of argon, refills from Air Products cost about £24 - but they charge about £20/month cylinder rental.

Re: Cheap taps ... maybe a group buy ?
Looks as though this guy is already importing them, and if you can get them from Germany without the Customs hassle... might be cheaper P&P if you order more than one item.

Re: Kegerator Taps and Shanks
You need to look carefully at the specs. My Dalex taps are UK-made and have a 1/2" BSP male thread to pass through the beer font, plywood temporary bar, fridge door or whatever. When I looked at shanks from the US recently, they seemed to be 7/8" x 14 tpi on the long threaded part of the shank, but ...

Re: Beer line flash chiller- I think?!?
Yes, it does have a pump (I can see it in Jabba's middle photo on top of the ice bank tank, right of the compressor) but it doesn't have a python loop. The pump just recirculates the water in the tank. Might be adaptable to run a python loop if you took the top off to have a look? Someone on here us...
