Have you tried all grain brewing before? as you don't need to spend a fortune to try it, then if you decide you want to continue you can buy lots of shiny things.

Re: Bottling bucket dip tube
i use a 15mm right angle copper joint with a stub of 15mm pipe, long enough to rotate and get near the bottom of the bucket.
i jam it into the internal diameter of the bottling tap with a bit of ptfe tape to make a seal/keep it place.

Re: Butane boiling issues
what happens if you turn the cylinder upside down?
just wondering, as some camping stoves you can do this in cold weather, but these stoves also have a pre heat tube, which turns the liquid into gas.

that silver bubble wrap isnt very good insulation used on its own, and it is no way anything like 33mm of polystyrene, probably more equivalent of 4mm of bubble wrap.

Pots often have different metals on the base compared to the sides. Yes, that could be the case, though this pot is so cheap and flimsy...anyway, it's good news :D Here's the SS brew kettle on the hop. Note the port on the top right. I wasn't expecting that, but I think they must be getting shipped...
