Ah! I see what you mean! Getting the fittings off is okay, I have got that far, but I can’t then remove the inner tube running through the steel braiding.
I have seen videos where people push it down gradually, but it just won’t budge on mine.

Re: Stainless Steel Braid
Hi!
Thanks for your reply. How exactly did you do it with the hacksaw and side cutters - can you talk me through it? Sorry if I’m being dim with this!

Stainless Steel Braid
Hi all! It’s been a long time since I posted, getting back into brewing and finishing my equipment build. I have a big issue at the moment, as I am almost there with my MT Coolbox conversion, I just need to make a SS braid manifold and I am there. The problem is, I have tried various braided hoses a...

Re: Have i ruined my beer - No.01
When you prime, you are expecting the yeast to revive and undertake a second fermentation, which will require them to be working in a sensible range of 16-20C, with 18ish about optimal. If you put them straight into a cold environment then they might have time to start the process, but will eventual...

Re: Milton
Personally, I would avoid anything with chlorine in for sterilising. You can end up with nasty chlorophenol off-flavours if not rinsed properly.

Re: Sorgene 5
That's the stuff! Excellent sanitisers, and it smells like it's killing things! Just remember safety when it's neat. It's totally safe once diluted and I would dilute it at 1:100 for brewing.

Re: Sorgene 5
If this is HPPA (acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide then you can sanitise anything with it. They recommend diluting to 1:200, but loads of guys locally use 1:100 for brewing purposes. The best thing is it is non-rinse and won't contaminate beer. BE extremely careful of the neat stuff as it causes bu...

Perle Hops
Hi! I am planning a recipe that would use Perle hops, but was a little put off by a something I read on the internet that described qualities of leek and celeriac. Whereas I love these vegetables, I'm not sure I would want their flavours in my beer! Can anyone let me know a bit more about Perle? I a...
