Thanks for the replies guys no not a big beer 5.4% and aerated really well I took a gravity reading last night down to 1016 and fg is 1014 so it is fermenting out it's a bit of a weird one this has only happened since moving to the 60l fermenter. Next brew I'll try dehydrating and see what happens. ...

I'm only doing 40l batches just lost the space upstairs so bought a 60l to use in the fermenting fridge as I brew 40l at a time. Iv always sprinkled into the wort is it best to rehydrate then. Cheers

Hi all Iv recently changed over from fermenting In my upstairs bedroom to a brewfride with temp control also changed to a 60l fermented instead of two 23l ones. I haven't changed my pitching method still the same sprinkle two packets now for the 60l. I brewed on Sunday and tonight checked to dry hop...

I brewed a magnum and wai-iti pale ale as I couldn't find the other hops the brewday was a bit of a pain had a bit of a stuck mash but got through that then forgot the Irish moss. Hope it will still turn out ok though. Cheers paddy.

Morning haha I bought this book yesterday I thought it looked good too never mind iv spent £15 on worse things haha.

Hi all after receiving extreamly fine crushed grains from hbs iv had a impossible stuck mash. Now one of my elements has packed up in my boiler so iv got a weak as hell boil will the beer still turn out ok. Cheers paddy.

Hi all am now looking at thermometers for the hlt and the mash tun but can't decide what to do either put two built in ones at £23 each or buy a decent £40ish one any help would be good recommendations ect cheers. Paddy.

And iv just found out you need different leads for the backer elements ill think again then haha

Yea iv got two in my boiler at the moment just don't look that neat compared to the backer one I'm looking at.
