Salifert KH + Alkalinity Profi-Test Kit
Hi guys, Just tested my water. I am on a private spring and have no idea of what the waters all about. I had thought about a professional analysis but thought Id give this a shot first. The pH of my water is 5.2 I added 0.04 ml (2 drops was enough to turn it pink) from the 1ml syringe to the Salifer...

Wort Fermentability - Low FG
Hi All, I use a Braumeister for my brewing and as I usually brew ales I follow the profile on beer smith to give me a full body. However I have a questions about the wort fermentability and the final gravity that I get. The beer ferment great, in fact too great. My final FG is usually around the 1.0...

Re: Clone Brews Book Advice - Hop additions
Hi guys, So you have altered the bittering hop additions to suit the desired IBU - I have also done this. What about the late additions (at 15 and if applicable at 5 mins). Have you changed them to suit the differing levels of AA content of the hops you will be using? My AA value is at 1.7% vs the b...

Re: Blichmann beer gun vs Chinese copy - any advice?
I ended up going of the Blichmann copy and have used it 2 times. Seems to be ok and did a grand job. The bottled beers are superb - mind you I haven't done any high carbonated beer yet... For less than £27 you can't go wrong.

Clone Brews Book Advice - Hop additions
Hi all, I have the book Clone brews. Theres loads of recipes in there but it seems that the AG content is an after thought as the main content seems to focus on the extract versions. Anyway, whats your guys experience with this book? Theres loads of recipes but I've steered clear of using the book b...

Re: Blichmann beer gun vs Chinese copy - any advice?

What fittings are neede to get running? I know there is a add-on kit that Blichmann do but it looks expensive for a bit of hose an...

Blichmann beer gun vs Chinese copy - any advice?
Hi guys, I want a Blichmann beer gun - for its simplicity really. I looked into making a counter pressure bottler but when I totted up the cost to make with stainless steel parts the cost was up at about £70 - the blichmann is just shy of £83 at BrewUK. Anyway I have kept looking on eBay and yesterd...
