The spear is fitted now, and has been rounded out as much as i could. It just seamed strange that the last inch was crushed so uniformly that you couldn't slide the cage type safety off the end. So, I was lucky enough to receive a 20l crusader keg from some guys at work (leaving gift!) I have really struggled to remove the safety as the end of the spear had been flattened. It was not postal damage as all packaging was undamaged, and it was to perfect to be anything other than deliberate. It...

I had the same problem untill the most recent brew where I began water treatment. Adjusted the alkalinity as suggested by beersmith, and it's the clearest beer I have brewed yet, and tastes more rounded/ finished.

I use the mag pump from Mr Lard top bit of kit. Got valves on the outlet to regulate the flow rate, and it pushes through my cfc with ease and makes chilling to fermenting temps fast and easy to control the temperature. catering portal france
So I emailed catering portal this morning to get a quote on some shiny pots. Rather disappointingly they have replied saying their management have decided no longer shipping to the UK, only Germany and Australia.
Obviously I have queried this. If they come back the same are there any alternatives?

I've just ordered a 60l thermo without tap which was 93 euro delivered, so that sounds ok.
