Induction hob brewers?

Evening All.

I believe that at least some induction rings allow you to set the temperature of the liquid in the pan.

How accurate is this?
If I were to set it to 66C would I really get that temperature?
Is it effected by the amount of water in the pan?

Thanks All. Aamcle

Re: Brewferm toucan

Check the hops (IBUs) remember when you use two cans your adding in effect 2 lots of hops.
There is a huge thread on https://aussiehomebrewer.com/ about toucans.

Good luck. Aamcle

Re: Pinter beer kit

It's the sort of Covid Lockdown novelty that I'd hope to buy very cheaply some time next year.

Just put your own wort in to or use it as a big bottle to carbonate.

Re: Small batch automation?

Designed for Quantum Scientists and Interior Designers not normal brewers, it's only the hops that present a significant problem. There is good open-source software that would run a home brew rig things like BrewPi. Oh well I'm still working on something else and by the time covid is over the £ with...

Small batch automation?

I'd like to brew more often but make smaller batches however I also want my time back! Using my GF with the small batch pipework still takes 5-6hr start to clean up so I'm interested in any automated (end to end) system members have built. Not a Peco brew or any of the commercial brewing appliances....

Bottling a follow on.. Pressure Fermenter owners?

Following on from my thread on Bottling, Bottle Conditioning and Oxidation. My main objection to using a counter pressure filler is the amount of Extra time and trouble it takes to set up and use. Messing about purging kegs and so on. If you have of the new pressure type fermenters or a conical that...

Re: Bottling, Bottle Conditioning and Oxidation?

Like you Cobnut I don't usually taste oxidation but I brewed MM's Intensely Hopped Lager (1) and that did oxidise. So I want to follow the very best procedure when I'm bottling.

1, It was horrible anyway, totally out of balance.

That's interesting Cobnut my process is as yours but I don't shake the bottle, but they always carbonate.

Re: Bottling, Bottle Conditioning and Oxidation?

Mmmm.... Most of the beers I make don't give a problem, stout, bitter and so on its just high hop beers and lager.
I'm not sure I want to go to much bother.

Bottling, Bottle Conditioning and Oxidation?

I hope there a good number experienced brewers here who bottle and bottle condition their beers. So many people have moved exclusively to Corny kegs. I find that bottles suit me better than a Corny n Tap set up although I do have two Cornys, Co2 and the ability to cool the kegs. My personal experien...
