hi guys I have made a 46 ltr batch of IPA in 2 23 ltr fermenting buckets both with safeale s-04. my sg was 1050 and 2 weeks later it's sitting at 1010 but still has krausen on top of both buckets. Im hoping to dry hop for 5 days, my temperature started at 18 deg and i raised the temp to 20 deg after...

it's whatever suits you mate, i have 2 under counter fridges and both go under 1 degree without a problem. i can only get 1 23ltr fermenting bucket in 1 and 2 cornies in the other. the larder fridge freezer would be better i would of thought. For anyone else who is looking for gas, Adams gas charges £55 for the bottle then £24 for a fill for a pub size co2, £36 for nitro/nitro 70/30

Boc = £3.10 a month ex vat for bottle co2 £3.40 ex vat. to fill its £22.95 co2 and £27-10 70/30 nitro ex vat

i have also been looking for new supplier for gas , my friend who run a bar has now left the business :( ,
I have spare empty gas bottles if anyone wants.[co2 and 70/30 nitro]

If anyone finds a contact in Aberdeen area, give me a shout.
i will have to bottle my brew for now :(

irish moss

Hi just done a all grain stout today, while its sitting in the fermenter, I have noticed I have forgotten to put in the Irish moss.

Will my brew brew be OK??is there anything that I can do ?

I have clone recipes in a couple of books but don't have them handy at the moment. I can't remember gravity or hop type used but both recipes definitely state 70% pale malt, 10% roasted barley and 20% flaked barley. Hi Yogi I guess you're going for a pale malt and roasted barley? I would be tempted to add a little unmalted barley and a little oats to provide good head retention and a heavy mouth feel. i'm using beerline of 5/16 with a lenghth of 1mtr, it only coming from the fridge to my bar which is just above.

people say that you shouls have a min length of 3 mtrs? maybe thats my problem too.
