“Edit to OP...the jerry can weighed 25kg and not 25li as originally posted.”

Re: 25li Bulk LME
Johnny,
You bought 25 litres, but put 4.2Kg in your brew. Any rough idea how many litres that was,
to give an estimate of how many brews you can get out of your bulk purchase?

Re: Fruit Wine Q
Personally I would use them as they are. Just a suggestion, elderberry are nearly ready to pick, and if you added 250g to your blackberrys, it would improve the final wine a lot. If you freeze the blackberrys while you wait for the elderberry, freezing and unfreezing the fruit breaks down the cell w...

BlueBerry TC to 20Lts
8Lts BB juice
12Lts Tesco Apple Juice
3 mugs tea, 4 bags each.

Just a quick question. I dont see why you boiled for 90 min,
but only put the first hops in 75 min from the end.

Re: Correct hop filter height
Ive got a blue mango chutney barrel which im making into a boiler.
Because the bottom four inches curves a lot, i have to put the tap
above this or the tap wiil be pointing upwards inside.
Can I tip my barrel to get the last six litres out?

Re: Rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb!
James,
One of the best tips for me was to deep freeze then thaw your rhubarb a few times.
Cut a corner off the freezer bag and use the liquid that flows out for your wine.

Re: bramble and elderberry wine
Hi Stoofer.
Your sugar alone will make a wine of over 15%.
What yeast are you using ( and what is its alcohol limit)?
