I struggled for a while getting the formula to work and found out it was because I was trying to do it on a tablet. Once in chrome on laptop worked first time.

Re: Beer kit in conical
I make my kit up in a big pan and add some cold water. Then I add 5 litres of cold water to the fermentasaurus before pouring my mix in and topping up. Seems to work well for me.

Re: " Ditch's Stout " Master Class .....
I can't resist a dig sorry. I'd effin love a fermentasaurus though, are they worth the outlay? The jacket is about 10 years old and not really needed in this weather[emoji16] Wish I could put a Ralph Lauren on my Fermentasaurus... At the moment I have a Matalan shirt on my wilco FV 🤣 Sent from my S...

Re: " Ditch's Stout " Master Class .....
Reduced to £10 in Boyes thought it would be rude not to do a pressure ferment experiment in the Fermentasaurus. Re: Slow cookers .....why ?
I have one with a metal dish so you can brown your meat and onions on the hob. Made some fantastic dinners and its pretty much set and forget. Very good for curries, stews and all in one type meals. I also cook a Christmas ham in mine with a can of coke. Secret is to not add too much liquid. Sent fr...

Re: Stout kit - any recommendations?
Not seen it mentioned for a while but Ditch's Stout Recipie always turns out nice and pretty similar to a Murphy's. It uses coopers stout as a base with 1kg dried malt extract and a mug full of sugar. Made to 20 litres. Drinkable as soon as fermentation is complete. I've done the same with Wilkos st...

Re: Crusader vs Cornie
Looking further into this it looks like you need a regulator with a PRV as the crusader kegs don't have one. Does anybody have a link to something suitable?

Crusader vs Cornie
Does anybody here use the 20L crusader Kegs. Looking for opinions before I venture down the kegging route or Do I go cornie kegs. I used to have a corny setup in a previous system before I sold up. Where is the best place to get hold of the crusader kegs as I believe they used to sell them direct b...

Re: Kegging vs. Bottling
A good midway solution is mini kegs with a party star deluxe tap, you can also get the fittings to connect to a proper beer tap and co2 supply.

Re: Sparkler Taps
Tighten up the sparkler so it flows slower and pour with tap full on, if you all grain use a bit of torrified wheat 5-10%

Preventing a stuck mash
Last time I ran my RIMS system I got a stuck mash and my inner basket filled up and emptied the outer pot. What's the best way to try an prevent this?
