Re: Intertap

Cheers for that. I don't know how I missed it. I do only need the o ring that sits in the tap before the spout though. I'm sure an o ring would be penniesif I could get the measurement.

Intertap

Can anyone tell me the size of the washer, it seems like a double lipped one, from the tap to the spout.
Mine seems to have disintegrated....

Dry yeast FAIL ?

Got a kit pale ale all ready to go, snipped open the yeast and realised I'd forgotten to take the temp of the wort. It was too warm to pitch so I left it, unfortunately when I did come to pitch, I shook the yeast packet up and sprayed half of in on the floor, forgetting it was open. I pitched anyway...

Re: Shanks for INTERTAP

Secla wrote:I just purchased a couple should be arriving this morning.
on the intertap site it days the 100mm shank is ideal for mounting through walls of upto 65mm, so i think the shank is 100mm in total rather than mounting through 100mm
I haven't ordered yet, let us know what you think of them.

Re: Shanks for INTERTAP

Had to google the taps, I thing your options are : 1) hacksaw and a file if your using brass shanks to chop back and square off, and an angle grinder and belt sander if its stainless steel. 2) if space inside the fridge is a premium, consider an external spacer, a nice bit of seasoned oak or a bit ...

Shanks for INTERTAP

Does anybody know of a supplier where I can get shorter Stainless shanks for INTERTAP Taps.
I'm doing a large upright fridge conversion and need only 5cm or so to maximise the number of kegs I can squeeze in !
They only do very long (10cm) or Very short (for towers)
Thanks in advance

Re: Which one?

I love the Razorback. It's the only kit I've done more than once.
I've recently kegged the Youngs APA and like that too. It's seems a little more rounded with some malt coming through, than the razorback, but still just as good, well.... nearly..

Let us know what you think.

Re: Bulldog Lager Kit

Cheers Donald. Thanks for the advice. Although, I think we may be talking about different Lagers. http://www.homebrewwest.ie/bulldog-lager-29-kg-best-before-end-nov-15-4986-p.asp This is the one I got, so no additions needed. the only thing I can imagine it being is the Bulldog Cortez Gold Mexican C...

Bulldog Lager Kit

I picked up a few (unbadged) and dated (11/15) Bulldog lager kits online (4.5%). Brewed the first as per instructions, and it's come out OK. I've 2 more on the go @19 deg and fancied dry hopping. I have 100g of Chinook & 100g of Cascade pellets waiting and wondered of anybody had done anything simil...

Corny Conditioning from Cold Crash-Room Temp

For the first ever time I have too many kegs for my Kegerator. I've cold crashed a Davy Crockett Hop Rocket & a Lions Pride and transferred into Cornys. Purged the air out with Co2 and sealed up to 40psi. I can't keep them cold anymore, should I top up the Co2 periodically until I have room in the K...

Keg Conditioning

For the first time I've got plenty of brews on the go. 2 are kegged & 2 fermenting. I am force carbing the kegged ones but only have a 2 tap fridge at the moment. When I've got all 4 kegs filled what's the best way of storing them? I have an Evil dog IPA which I think is going to need a lot of time....
