Why do you need power control on your boiler? I boil about 37 litres using 2 x 2.4Kw elements which are on throughout the 75 minute boil. Gets me about 23 litres in the fermenter.

Guy
Is that a misstype? surely you dont boil off that much? thats around a 1/3 of the volume??

Hi thanks for the link, a bit of a shame that it costs the same as a cheap ball valve !

Re: Pump Fixings

No mate its not a mag pump. This is the kind of thing you'll need. Plus it can't take liquid over 80c. Excuse the dust, it's not been used in a looong time.

Re: Pump Fixings

They are busy looking pumps! I'd certainly remove the strainers, and i'd get a different pump than the rg550 , i have one stopped using it as it's noisy as hell. And to resctict flow on it without damaging it you need to fashion a bypas manifold .

Re: Clean-in-place Spray Ball - ANY Fermenter/Keg

I have an rg550 pump that has these specs http://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/media/114746-Performance-RG550-2.pdf . And that doesn't run my cip ball , neither does my march may 815. I have a makita submersible pump doing the business atm , but this is far from hygenic, but it does get dried crud off co...

I had some difficulty with fly sparging evenly to start with, but buying a mash manifold sorted my setup out. https://www.brewuk.co.uk/recirc-manifold.html
