Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Just seen some powercon top they would do for power in and then true 1 for others with some colour coded chassis gaskets and sleeving for flex with a small quick-blow fuse.

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Can see the local paper now "HOMEBREWER GOT A SHOCK FROM NEW BREW RIG" quote from neighbour's I always wonder ed why he was up early on his day off and steam coming from his garage door. Joking aside better to be safe not sorry. Now to start ordering the parts. More questions will follow I'm sure of...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
The true 1 sound good for elements only as the element selector switch in theory will be off when not used. And it's the biggest power use.
I thought the blue/grey are an out/in only or can the power go both ways.

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Good point. ID each cable and connector so at a glance will make sure they are in the correct place.

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
For 2x elements 2x pumps at 240v what's to stop and accidental plug in on the wrong socket. In an ideal they in theory shouldn't be unplugged unless for cleaning. I'm aware they are different keyed for models but if they are all true1 there could be confusion.

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Just for reference a chugger pump on brew builder pulls 2A and a 3kw element is 12.5A so theres 14.5A so it looks like I will need to fit a 16A supply with rcd it all adds up. I intend to use powercon connectors for all my leads in and out of panel as that seems to be the norm. Cant say I've seen th...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
It would seem silly to buy from unknown sources so I'll get the mcbs and contactors from closer to home cant take the risk and the hassle of waiting. Thanks for pointing out the chint. How much tripping headroom should there be for the elements assuming they run at 12A should I use a 16A contactor a...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Thanks again Lee for the diagram. I've been on holiday so beer geek time has been at a minimum. Although I did look at it on my phone which wasnt easy so I printed it off and now it is a lot clearer. I take it your switches LEDs and PIDs run off 24v hence the 0 and 24v lines. Your 240 lines are L1 N...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Thanks for the plans I see you have a rims system and you are using 2 x 3kw elements for your boiler. I'm going to go herms so the rims element doesn't need to used in the build. My extraction seems a bit more complicated than yours though I open a window at one end of the garage then open the garag...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
I thought din rails would be easier than tapping holes and ease of install or uninstall. Your box seems a bit busy and very daunting to an untrained eye like mine. My intention is to hopefully source a stainless enclosure or worse case a mild steel one. Making holes is not a problem as I can do most...

Re: Some Brew Panel questions
Going to go with the above contractors. Would it be advisable to install an mcb before all components.
Seen this for the terminal bus keeping with the din rail install https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2913000677. Can they be bridged?
