Re: New Keezer build

I got a little further along last weekend I painted the wooden collar with cream exterior wood paint and spay painted the freezer body dark green. Spray paining was more difficult than I expected, i had to do four coats to get a decent covering, not putting too much on each time was key to not getti...

New Keezer build

I made a start last weekend on my first Keezer. I had been waiting for ages for a suitable small chest freezer to become available at an OK price, at long last one popped up on ebay in my town, so I snapped it up. 20160529_172020.jpg It has room for two corny kegs, it will also allow a 5l mini keg t...

Re: Corny Keg Newbie Error

The beer tasted great, but I did encounter another newbie issue, I have the keg and CO2 sat in the fridge, at the moment I only have the low cost party tap, this is left sat in a pint glass, to catch any drips. I think when closing the fridge the beer line must have been pushed, which caused enough ...

Corny Keg Newbie Error

At the weekend I entered the world of corny kegging, I have one keg at the moment and transferred my Jim's Wee Bee directly from the fermentation vessel into the keg. Luckily, I only had 19 litres, as I was engrossed in watching the syphon tube to ensure no rubbish got sucked through, that I did not...

Re: Creamy Stout exptract brew with additinal flavourings

The small sample I tasted was good, not too strong, but defiantly noticeable, the one pod was in approx. 4 Litres for 5 days.

Creamy Stout exptract brew with additinal flavourings

I have brewed the Geterbrewed.com Creamy Stout extract kit a couple of times and enjoyed the beer. My wife loves dark beers and particularly stouts with extra flavourings, vanilla, chocolate orange etc... So I thought I would give this ago. I brewed the creamy stout again and once the fermentation w...

That sounds good advice - I have lots of bubble wrap at home I could fill the freezer compartment with, many thanks

Re: Fridge/Freezer and fermentation chamber ?

many thanks for the replies, I will give it a go, it'll go into my shed/workshop/brewery/man cave, so when not fermenting can be used as normal for beers etc....
