Re: Hello and advice with stuck mash (again)
I use a 9" false bottom and also get all grain kits from the hbc which are usually spot on but just before Christmas I got 2 Dunkelweizen kit from them, oh my god never again, took over 2 hours to sparge due to all the wheat flours stopping the sparge, had to keep jamming the spoon in to get it flow...

Hi, can anyone shed some light as to what size this John guest fitting may be, the tap shank and fitting all came as one unit so I do not know the size, I have measured it and its 7/8" all day long but the John guest website says they don't even make that size fitting, if it helps the tap is a perli...

Re: A Warning to anybody thinking of purchasing these !
I bought 8 from them in dribs and drabs and they all came holding pressure and work 100%, all show signs of a previous life but if you want to display them on the mantle piece then buy some new ones

Re: John guest
Overall I love the John Guest fittings, and find them pretty reliable and versatile. I have however had a few problems with the 3/8" Y splitter's in my setup, although I think its a problem related to my specific application rather than quality of the fittings. I use two of the 3/8" Y Splitters ins...

Re: Shank spacer for keg build taps
I used a sheet of stainless on the front and was going to use one inside to but ended up not needing it as my fridge door was quite stiff, how about some copper pipe to make your spacers get the closes fit to slip over your shanks and cut to length.

Re: Stainless Elements
Should also mention that the 3kw element is actually 3.4 kw and the 4kw one is 4.5 kw so a 32 amp mcb on the consumer unit is a must but there only a few quid.

Re: Corney foam
Yes c02 on all the time set at around 8 to 9 psi, it's taking around a month for a corny keg to empty so maybe if my psi is a wee bit high it's more than lightly over carbing over the space of a month, I will knock it back a bit and see. Talking about carbonating I've got it sussed, i force carb my ...

Corney foam
Hi all, I've got a question that I can't seem to find the answer for or get my head round, my kegerater works perfectly on all four taps dispensing a perfect pint in around 5 seconds but I have started to notice as the beer in the corny gets low down to around quarter full I start to get more foam t...

Ok less next time, cheersNormski wrote:You are using too much Whirlfloc.
As has been said. Try using 1/4 to 1/2 tab per 23l.
1/4 works well for me.
