Tri-sodium phosphate does the trick.

There's no hosepipe ban here and the moment (as far as I know).
Not drained Kielder yet! Seriously though I didn’t move to the North East years ago to boil in my own skin in blazing heat, it’s just not right!

Re: Geterbrewed delivery

I always use Homebrew Life in Felling and I know his grain is fresh and freshly milled, since he comes out of the back of the shop with dust all over himself. Granted, I live locally so never get delivered but his shipping costs are reasonable £4.50 over 3kg and 48 hour delivery for mainland UK if ...

Re: Geterbrewed delivery

I've used MM exclusively for years now. The use of DPD is what hooks me - it takes all the hassle out of waiting in for a delivery. Very true Jim I have say this is an enormous help when you’re working and travel around a lot, they make it very easy. Can’t beat maltmiller in general I think anyway,...

Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.

Me too, but late as advised. Enjoy yourselves unfortunately I’ve had to travel down to the office to sort out a stupid mess caused by my ignoramus colleagues:( Bad luck - hopefully you'll make the next one. Hope so Jim, managed to sort more in half an hour in the office than they have managed all w...

Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.

I've just booked an EasyHotel. Its about 30 foot from the pub, should be able to manage that, its downhill too. Thought it wise as I'm bound to miss the last bus home (again). I like a bit of forward planning, Norm! :) Norm’s daughter will appreciate not having to do a late evening drive as well!

Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.

I'm easy about the venue. My only stipulation would be there has to be somewhere to sit. :) Same here Jim as I’m recovering from a hernia op! Give a thought for those fresh from surgery for haemaroids. :D I'd like where the beer would be good rather than fashionably querky and can hear what others ...

Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.

Sounding good so far, and Thursday seems like a good idea. Shall we say somewhere in Newcastle then? I don't get out drinking there much these days, though when I do it's generally the Crown Posada or the Bacchus. I'm sure someone can suggest other venues. Plenty of venues but Crown Posada is alway...

Looks ok for me as well depending on where it is. I managed a day drinking round the toon on Saturday so as long as I don’t do anything stupid I should be spot on for a night out then.
