Re: Carbonation Keg lid

Agreed Fil. That was purely on the subject of rapid carbonisation.

Re: Carbonation Keg lid

You can do it a lot quicker than that if you're really in a hurry. Here are the instructions I found a while back, which seem to work pretty well.

Re: Carbonation Keg lid

Isn't it the same as connecting the gas to the 'Out" post to force carbonate?

Yeast Starter Temperature

Good Evening,

Should a yeast starter (ideally) be made at the temperature at which the beer will be fermented?

Regards,

Re: Making Agar Slants (Slopes) - In Pictures

Good Evening,

Does anyone have any (more recent) sources for suppliers of equipment for this process please? I have been reading the thread with interest along with 'Yeast' by Chris White. Would be keen to have a go. Thanks.

Re: Graham Wheeler - Yeast

Thank you for the reply, and sorry to hear of Mr Wheeler's passing.

I will experiment with yeast and am sure that many of the recipes in 'Brew Your Own British Real Ale' will be enjoyed in the future.

Graham Wheeler - Yeast

Good Evening, I have been reading, with great interest, Mr Graham Wheeler's book 'Brew Your Own British Real Ale'. I know that it is a very well respected reference and am looking forward to trying many of the recipes. Have I missed something, or does the author not specify a particular yeast strain...

Re: Sankey spear sealing rings

Good Evening,

I'm also in the market for this part. Did you have any luck?

MBC

Edit; The best I can come up with is here from the States, but they have a minimum order of $25 plus shipping and import duty. Makes for an expensive O Ring.

Re: Sankey spares

Afternoon,

Would anyone know of an European supplier for the O-Rings to fit the spear valve of an S (European) type Sankey Keg? It seems that the part is;

Taprite 45-0017-00

I have spent an age with Googgle, but can only find suppliers in the States. Thanks in advance.

Re: Carbonisation Calculations - Temperature

I would suggest the highest temperature the beer has sat in at the end of primary/ post primary should be used if its used to estimate the current level of dissolved co2 in the beer. the reason is that as the yeast are the source of the co2 thats easily dissolved into the brew, so when they slow do...
