Re: Bottling from a keg
There is a method of producing bottle conditioned beer with no detectable sediment. You can empty the whole contents into a glass and still have crystal clear beer. I am fed up with explaining how to do it. I assume this is what you are not going to explain again? https://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/foru...

Re: Bottling from a keg
I am just wondering how successful bottling from a conditioned keg would be. I like to have bottles around for taking out and giving away but the I find the sediment in primed bottles a bit of a nuisance. If beer is conditioned and carbonated in a keg and then transferred to a bottle and capped doe...

Re: Wyeast London Ale lll
I've had smack packs not swell and nutrient bags not burst, but the beer has always turned out ok.
However, my first choice is Whitelabs or dried yeast.

Re: Water Analysis
I ask as I am new to water treatment after trying to solve a problem in my beer (and my mates it would seem) Turns out that after the recent dry spell water companies have been sourcing & blending water to meet demand, so it follows (doh) that it had changed. I wondered if this was a regular thing....

Re: Temporary hose and tap ...
I use a garden hose on a reel....have done for 8 years now. Yes I run it for 30 seconds before drawing off any water that might go in a brew but other than that don't take any specific measures other than lobbing a campden tablet in it. Our garden hoses are in very regular use so it is rare that wa...

Re: Small tank of oxygen for aeration?
You will need a regulator (£36 https://www.welduk.com/product/regulator-gauge-for-disposable-oxygen-cylinder/), an aeration stone (£8 for a basic stone, £17 for a wand) and some tubing at a minimum. Realistically you also want a flow meter (£10.26 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265130660620), or you wi...
