thanks for the info that is one of the reasons I was asking as the IBU calculation for the late additions does seem to add more than I expected

Brewers Friend option selection for recipe
Hi
when doing a recipe builder on brewers friend I know to select the boil option for the bittering hops at the beginning of the boil but what option do I select for the late additions say 10 or 15 mins do I select the boil still or aroma etc and will it affect the IBU calcuation ?

Hi a little further with this water treatment I have played around with my water report and added them into Grahams water treatment which is below. I know these additions will treat my water for a bitter but will this adjust my PH and if not how do I do that - sorry a little knowledge could be dange...

I have tested my tap water with the ph papers and it too shows 6PH also I know of many brewers around me and nobody as ever mentioned any problems, I am in Castleford west yorks.Maybe try a brew with bottled water with a suitable Ph does anbody know which supermarket waters are best and economical a...

Hi thanks for all the input chaps the beer is what I have tested at 6PH it looks high to me should I add some gypsum to bring the PH down and any idea roughly how much.
