Re: Burner

So I bought the 8.8kw

Tried it out and this is it in action. Not quite on full either. It's a beast.

Growing Hops

Hi, I've had a Cascade bare root plant bought for me for my birthday. I was wondering where would be the best place to plant it, how deep to plant it, what to plant it in (compost and fertiliser), how long before I start to see some useable hops and how to harvest and dry said hops? Thank you Gaz Se...

Burner

Hi,

Just wondering whether it's worth getting the 7.5kw burner or the 8.8kw one from Hamilton Gas Products.

To heat 100 litre kettle.

Anyone have any experience of it?
Will the smaller one heat the kettle?

Cheers
Gaz

Re: Heater for fermenting fridge

60w bulb in an old paint tin. Gets really warm really quick. Couple that with a fan and that heats my 1 metre X 1 metre converted fridge.

Re: 8.8kw Gas burner

I use that burner. I use it with a 49l Vogue pot, but usually only do 5 gallon batches. It's a beast of a burner and gets my wort from high fifties after draining the tun, to boiling in less than 10 mins. It will get 30+ litres of ambient temperature water to strike temperature in about 20 mins max...

8.8kw Gas burner

Anyone used one of these? Will they take the weight of a 100 litre pot plus the wort?

Thanks!

The one I am looking at is advertised as chrome plated. Image like this one.

Cheap Chinese flow control taps on eBay.

Any one had any?

What is the quality like?

Are they worth it?

Have to pay any import taxes if so how much?

Seen one for £19 with shank and 3/8ths barb. Too good to be true?

Cheers

Re: Corny Keg Help!

I have a recently made a fermenting fridge that I could use to store the kegs whilst it's empty.

What sort of temperature would be best?

Re: Cheap Drip Tray for Fridge Door?

A piece of guttering cut to size with the ends blocked off with some stainless steel grating on top. Saw it in one of the breweries near Tower Bridge.

Corny Keg Help!

Hi all! I've got a Cascade Smash dry hopped and ready to be transferred into my first ever Corny Keg (Ball Lock). After reading about foaming on dispensing. I'm worried that my tap is going to foam like a rabid dog. I have got the tap that you screw onto the beer out disconnect. Anyway I am under or...
