Malt Miller Mini-Mash Kits

These consist of 3.5kg premium grade liquid malt extract plus pellet hops plus mashing grains plus dried yeast. A minimum of equipment is required, eg: no boiler. Mashing of the supplied grains is done on the stove, (short addition of heat). Approx 3 hours is needed to make. I have tried two version...

Traditional English Bitter

For those who like the taste of English hops, this produces a flavoursome beer with no hint of grapefruit! I'm tasting at 26 days in plastic cask. Dispense using its own generated CO2. "Oranges and lemons, with herbal, almost minty taste." Recipe for 20 litres: 3250g Pale Malt 105g Dark Crystal 105g...

Re: Progress Hops

Hobsons Best Bitter uses Progress hops. The Cyclops description for this beer is: See: Auburn Smell: Hops Taste: Rich, Bitter Recipe according to The Real Ale Almanac Roger Protz (1997): Maris Otter Pale Malt 92% Crystal Malt 8% Challenger for bitterness Progress for aroma (and dry-hopping) O.G 1038...
