Good stuff guys, I'd be very interested to here back on your results ... its a little tricky with the volume of hop and controlling the bitterness whilst using it all in one go! does anyone know how long it it can wait before it oxidizes, i think this will determine how you can use it ? Hey lads, Got a brew that overshot my starting gravity which is now nearing terminal gravity, also doesn't have enough bitterness ... part of a whirlpool only experiment ... proposal is to work out appropriate dilution .. 2 Litres ... boil from cold with additional hops ... add at bottling Anyone do...

What's the best Syphon Filter?

Afternoon,

wondering what's the latest preferred siphoning filtering options people are going for glass carboys?

I've got some heavily dry hopped brews with whole hops that are about ready and wondered if its best drop the syphon in a hop bag so as not to clog it up?

I see the bottle shops do it for 6 quid ish ... I'll try hermes .. although is see they prohibit rather than excluded all liquids.. is 6 quid for the six pack.

Seem to have lost most mine due to the wet September - there a lot of brown cones they just didn't seem to ripen, just went from too green and non-scrunchy to brown with open petals. has anyone used the brown ones before i know maltmiller sold aged hops once ... take it they will be too bitter ... t...

The PECO services elements now they're out of stock or £30+ each .. I would ideally something to fit my 40mm qmax cutter and not break the bank !

I see both of the heating element company units are in stock?

Its for a 70l kettle ...
