Stonehouse Station Bitter recipe anyone?

Been enjoying both draught and bottles of this tasty brew. Fancy having a go at it but can't find any clues let alone a recipe! Anyone able to help?

TIA

Re: Help! So much sludge with pellet hops

They are not conicals, but standard fermenters which have now been going for 24 hours, so fermentation has well and truly started now. I usually ferment at 20° for a week then let it rest for a second week at ambient before priming and bottling or kegging. Still can't decide what to do for best[emoj...

Re: Help! So much sludge with pellet hops

Thank you guys, all very interesting. I'll need careful consideration before using a large proportion of pellets in the future. However I now have an interesting dilemma. Because the filter was completely blocked we poured the whole lot into the 2 fermenters. Is there any issues with fermenting with...

Help! So much sludge with pellet hops

I usually use whole hops for my brews, but this time decided to use 100% pellets. There was so much sludge at the bottom of the boiler I couldn't get the liquor out through the bazooka filter. Am I missing something fundamental with the use of pellets?

Never tested the pH, does that make much difference?

Still struggling with chill haze, what cured it for you?

As the title says, after several years of brewing, probably more than 50% of my brews have chill haze. I boil for about 75 minutes and add protofloc for the final 15 mins. I'd be interested to hear what solved the problem for you? Thanks for your time and help Sent from my SHIELD Tablet K1 using Tap...

Re: Do these come apart for cleaning

Thank to those who have replied. I have taken the spout part out and put both elements through the dishwasher as suggested. There is however still moldy stuff lurking. Seems like this is impossible to remove. In which case, does anyone knows of a replacement tap that this either doesn't happen to, o...

Do these come apart for cleaning

Hi everyone
These taps are very common and found on many pressure barrels. But does anyone know if they can be taken apart for cleaning and if so how?
Many thanksImage

Re: Greetings Brewers

Ah the joys of the auto correct. Yes I meant tun. The 60 litre is the estimated final liquor amount. I'm now thinking I may reduce to 50 litre and work up from there next time.

Greetings Brewers

Does anyone have any idea how much water is displaced by around 12kg of grain? My mush run is 70 litre and I'm trying to workout what is the largest brew I can do (the boiler is also 70 litre)?

Thanks in advance

Re: Are there any issues with a slow ferment?

Thanks all for your helpful comments. The yeast is Mango Jacks M44. The tube heater is indeed about 12 inches. The fridge is a tall one, but I put insulation across the shelf above so I wasn't loosing all the heat up the top. You are absolutely right about choice of beer to brew, in act the next one...
