Re: It's been a long time coming.......
If I could work out how to delete my account, I would.
Right I will state this again. This is JMHO (for the benefit of WalesAles, this is my opinion) not yours and not yours to comment on.

Re: It's been a long time coming.......
JMHO ..And I am prepared to be "shot down" on this.
I agree that it all about the challenge on doing a clone, but it costs a lot of money/time to achieve anything like the original and it will never be right.
Just go and buy the original beer.
Work on your own recipes, for a beer that you like.

Re: If you could choose one hop to brew with Nelson Sauvin what would it be?
Any of the American "C" hops will work well and Challenger.
i would go with Normski`s advice, but use the NS at flameout or dry hop.
Because NS is a very delicate hop, keep the IBU`s low, try to match the OG

Re: Soy Sauce
The great debate of describing a beer online. Its impossible..Ill give it a shot. Autolysis of beer has never been proven or not proven. (I do believe it does) JMHO. Soya sauce has no aroma...go and sniff your bottle, at the back of the cupboard. Soya beans/edamame beans, just taste like "salt"...it...

Re: How much honey as priming sugar?
I dont think that you will get any honey flavour/taste by using honey as a priming sugar. You have got to work out the sugar content of your honey

Re: 25li Bulk LME
Summary on my OP Negatives:- It handles like shit. I have no control of the malt base of beers that I maybe want to brew. Reported...No documented evidence, that it might go off. If I want to brew a different style of beer, eg stouts/porters/milds etc I would have to do a partial mash, which defeats...

Re: 25li Bulk LME
Wort for starters should be kept on the low side 1.020. You want the yeast to start working for a living ie looking for 02 to consume before it starts looking for sugar (wort)
There is a major difference between a "starter yeast" and a yeast that you are trying to prove that is alive and well

Re: Water profile for Bohemian Pilsner
JMHO...you cannot replicate a water profile, as a HB`er its impossible. Im Chef not a Chemist. Brew the beers that suit your tap water. Why would you want to throw so many chemicals at your wort, that you dont really understand what they do? I live in Solihull, West Mids our water is supplied by Sev...

Re: 25li Bulk LME
Can some one please check on their software. I use BeerEngine
Per 25li
LME 4200g
OG 1.050
FG 1.011
ABV 5.1%
The reason I ask is because these beers Ive brewed using LME, seem very strong.
Regards John

Re: 25li Bulk LME
Hello, Only Me! #-o If the LME is stored in the Jerrycan for any length of time, does anything drop as sediment in the Jerrycan? Or is this pure LME and nothing drops as sediment because there is nothing in there to sediment? Please forgive my ignorance but this method of Brewing sounds good to me....
