Re: Pros and Cons?
hi, I started with kits, then partial mash and BIAB. now I use all in one electric system. I leave in an apartment so 3V was out of the question for me. 1. absolutely not. as Jockey was saying. 2. yes, I have the Braumeister 20L and lately, many other great competitors are on the market. check David...

Re: Minibrew, Braumeister or grainfather
hi, I have the Braumeister 20L. I would not recommend to go lower than 20L (as BM10L version) as you will most probably regret the investment. You may buy the small malt pipe for 10L if you want to brew smaller batches anyway. You should take a look on the Braumeister user’s forum. You will find a l...

Re: Help
+1 for brewfather.
Are you planning to buy more hops? 200g sounds low for 46L in case you plan for dry hopping

Re: Grapefruit IPA
you could go above 1 grapefruit in the FV. I usually put 3 (zest) at flameout and 2 after fermentation ends. it's not too much

Water treatment
hi guys, I am just starting the water chemistry adventure and I am already hitting walls  I have the water report available from Pheonix analytical but I'm struggling to understand how to adjust the water and Ph into the water calculators. I used 3 water calculators so far (beersmith, Graham W...

Re: Grainfather Conical Fermentor - newbie questions
The process and req for cooling should be like this: 1. Buy Grainfather Cooling pump kit (63Eur) 2. Connect the hoses to the fermenter and pump 3. Connect the cable to FV 4. Submerge the pump into a bucket of ice water and set the temp on the FV. (pump will be activated when 0.5C deviation) 5. Or bu...

Re: Grainfather Conical Fermentor - newbie questions
I used the conical for my last 4 brews and I had no problems and complaints from my girlfriend :) I would not worry about this Regarding cooling, I recommend you to use some salt in the cold water to lower the temperature more or even add some glycol to it. A nice DIY project is to buy a mini freeze...
Re: US05
Nice experiment. Do you have a picture of the beers in the glass?
I plan to brew around 30L and divide in small fermenters to test different yeasts. (BRY-97,Danstar Nottingham Ale, M15, M44, S-04, US-05)
What recipe did you use? I am looking for a pale ale/ipa recipe as this is what I brew most.

Re: Hop Spider.
it keeps in most of the hops.
for dryhop with pallets you can use a Filter Strainer like in the picture. (it's 6.8 GBP)

Re: New fermenter
The fermenter is great (i use 2 of these; strong build tight sealing). The only minus is that you have no markings on it but you can measure and mark it with a black water resistent marker. You will have no problems with the heavy duty airlock. Same airlok is unsed for their 60L version. Cool addon ...

Re: New indoor brewery and 'cellar'
impressive work, congrats!
1 questions:
- did you design a big sink to clean the tools indoor?
Can't wait to see the Fermenters and chiller
