Think I’ll have to go easy on the PBW and time scale!

Residue on PET yeast bottle and fermenter
Hi all, I’d cleaned up after my last brew day using PBW and then Starsan to sterilise. I’ve now found that I obviously neglected to rinse thoroughly and I’m left with a hazy residue inside my PET fermenter and my yeast harvesting bottle. I’ve tried PBW again and a 12 hour soak in Starsan but still h...

Re: CFC silicone hose sizes
For everyone’s knowledge base, I’ve just heard back from Grainfather re. the wort pipe dimensions.
They’re 8mm internal and 12mm external silicone

CFC silicone hose sizes
Hi,
I need to extend the length of the wort input silicone pipe into the Grainfather CFC. I’ve tried to measure it but I need a proper gauge.
Does anyone have the official inside and outside measurements or even a supplier?
Many thanks

Re: Co2 regulator advice
Thanks for all your comments. I finally bit the bullet and purchased from the Malt Miller, one of their single output Italian regulators and it’s now is fitted and working well. That let me look at my existing system and work out what was causing the problem of loss of gas etc. I finally found out t...

Re: Co2 regulator advice
Sorry, meant mosquat!
As these are ‘secondary’ regulators, can they be used on just one keg and connected to the gas bottle?

Co2 regulator advice
Hi all, My regulator is starting to play up and I think it’s time to buy a new one. What’s people’s opinions as the best all round one to go for - I’m a little confused looking at some of the offerings on the likes of eBay and I don’t want to buy a potential dangerous item. I think I need two gauges...

Re: Storing fermented beer in plastic containers
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion. I’ve left it a week or so and moved the unfermented beer from the cube storage to a Fermentasaurus and it’s started fermenting. I have to say there was quite a bit of protein crud but it tasted ok! Once it’s fermented out I’ll report back - the s...

Storing fermented beer in plastic containers
Hi, Just got my hands on some 20 litre plastic food grade screw top containers. Two questions that someone on this learned forum will be able to answer I’m sure. Is it safe and feasible to store finished beer in one of these containers away from light? Obviously, there would be no secondary fermenta...

I can confirm that the recipes on the WHS are the same as Graham Wheelers book. I had the Landlord Clone and it matched.
Great prices & fast service!

Re: Co2 Leak
Lost a whole tank of co2 due to a faulty fibre washer between the bottle and regulator. Always worth changing every tank fill and spraying a soapy solution on to the joints to check for leaking.
