Re: Braumeister or Brewtools??
As a prior contributor to this thread I might as well provide an update....about 4 weeks ago I took delivery of a Grainfather G40. Brewed once on it so far and as it stands, I am quite impressed by the system. my initial thoughts can be found here... https://angliancraftbrewers.org.uk/2022/01/nicks...

Re: Braumeister or Brewtools??
Personally i think the Brewtools equipment is grossly overpriced plus they use their own size (34mm) tri-clamp fittings instead of the industry standard 1.5" why ? :!: so you cannot even use the standard 1.5" ones. So for example you buy a B80 for 2 grand and then have to spend another grand on the...

Re: GF G30 bottom perf plate seal
I'm amazed they still haven't fixed this. It's been a known issue since it came out (or at least since they introduced the silicone seal in the second version). I'd have thought that in this new G30 version they'd have done something about it. Used to brew with a grainfather which was brilliant. I r...

Re: has the single pot killed the three pot systems
I’ve recently purchased a Brewtools B40 as a “pilot” system for the small/micro/nano brewery I’m involved in setting up, which we’re using a B150 for. Let me get this straight. You have a single vessel system with ‘150L’ capacity as a ‘commercial’ set up? With business partners? Let’s ignore how a ...

Re: Maltmiller Modified Grainfather Sparge Water Heater
I’ve got the non-modified grainfather sparge water heater and to be honest, never found fault with the temperature sensor. It’s always within a degree or so and while the temperature gauge is a little imprecise, you can soon figure it out and I usually always get the temperature I’m after. I probabl...

Re: has the single pot killed the three pot systems
Started off with a 3 pot system, and then built a 3 pot mini system (it’d make about 10L of wort at a time) which I used all the time. It was brilliant and super easy to use/clean. Then eventually I got a Grainfather and made some of my best beers with that. Used it for about 5 or 6 years before sto...

“Little brown pump” or similar?
Hi all,
Upgrading my sparge vessel for my new system. I’m trying to find what is nicknamed the little brown pump. Struggling to find one at the moment. Wondered if anyone has any links to such a thing?
Thanks!
