Re: Corney Keg to Beer Tower Set-Up. FOAMING
30 psi to seal the lid then reduce the pressure to x psi to carbonate over a week then serve at the same pressure. If your pour is too fast or slow adjust your line length/bore to suit or use a flow control tap. Pressure, temp and time are your 3 variables that you must control. Sent from my iPhone...

Re: Corney Keg to Beer Tower Set-Up. FOAMING
The simple answer is that the beer is over carbonated. It is not foaming at the beginning because secondary fermentation has not finished. But as this fermentation continues the carbonation increases and causes foaming. The solution is to ferment out until the real fg is reached and then prime with...

Re: Corney Keg to Beer Tower Set-Up. FOAMING
Thanks. I will have a look. Presumably that is easy enough to replace?
Can you confirm that i shouldn't have to drop the temp to 3c?

Corney Keg to Beer Tower Set-Up. FOAMING
Hi Chaps, hope someone can help? [-o< I have a 'homemade' Kegerator style set up - Corny Keg in Fridge with beer line to bar mounted Beer Tower. Whatever i seem to do, at least halfway down the keg (if not before) i get a lot of foaming from the tap. Like to serve Ales such as Courage, Directors, Wh...

Re: Serving Pressure/Beer Line diameter
Thanks Kev. That's really helpful. I would like to stick to cellar temps of 12/13c, but 7 psi with the thin beer line just dribbles out. I have invested in some wider beer line and will use the formula to determine pressure, to help decide what length of line I need - this is assuming that the lower...

Serving Pressure/Beer Line diameter
Hi, hope someone can help? I have a corny keg setup with a beer tower tap. Most beers I brew are Ales/Bitters-such as Wherry/Courage/Directors etc (what I call English ales). As a result, I don't like a lot of carbonation, just bit of life! The beer line I was using was 3/8 Outside Diameter ("OD"), ...

Re: Beer Taps
It is a pull, not a push tap. I would say standard beer tower style. I guess a good way to describe what I am looking for would be a 'pub style' tap. These seem to be spring bound, but stay 'on' so that a slow pint can be poured whilst doing other things. Then a quick flip and the spring would close...

Re: Beer Taps
Hi thanks for the replies. Yes the spring does come out, but I thought that may affect the functionality of the tap? I would expect in order for it to close tight the spring would be needed. I was hoping for something in between... a tap that stays open when ‘on’ then flips back to close position wh...

Beer Taps
Hi I currently have bar mounted Beer Tower (fairly cheap import I must admit) that works fine. The tap is spring bound, so you have to hold the tap open whilst pouring. A lot of YouTube tutorials show taps that flip open and then stay open without having to hold them open. I was wondering if there a...

Re: Flat Ale in Keg (no head) - Woodefordes Sundew
Thanks PeeBee I will persevere with the CO2 since i don't want the bother of having to re-pressurise etc. Another thought i have had is that it may be the current temperature of the beer? I currently have this as low as possible to allow as much CO2 as possible to be absorbed into the beer. Presumab...

Flat Ale in Keg (no head) - Woodefordes Sundew
Hi I have brewed many Woodefordes kits so far and i have been very pleased with the results. My current attempt is the Sundew. This was pressure barrelled for priming after 2 weeks in the FV. I later found that the keg seal had allowed some of the CO2 to escape, so the beer was flat, no head forming...
