Re: reliable secondary regulator
Going from 5 to 9PSI over night sounds like inadequate venting. To get 9PSI down to 5 will take at least 24 hours of gradual venting. This was with the sankey coupler disconnected so not venting problem. The other lpg reg has held steady with exactly the same conditions. I do think the maybe there is...

Re: reliable secondary regulator
thanks PeeBee I was probably not clear in my posting. I have a 50-150 mbar reg for my handpump which works for that ,however I use the normal tap on my kegerator most of the time as i dont want to waste 1/2 pint and drink 1 pint. I have been using the 0.5-2 bar lpg regulator but one is drifting badl...

Re: reliable secondary regulator
@PeeBee are you still using the Shako NR200 regulators. I used to use them but found they were leaking .when my gas was turned off the primary regulator would fall over a few hours, maybe that is normal. When I swopped to the LPG reg the pressure holds for days. This was with the keg disconnected so ...

reliable secondary regulator
Has anybody found a reliable secondary regulator the will keep pressure at 4-6 psi without drifting upwards and also allow excess pressure to vent from the keg. I like my beer as near as possible to cask carbonation I currently use LPG regs which dont vent and suspect a lot of my problems with foam ...

Re: beer line length
the conversion heads came very quickly from The Malt Miller, but DHL stung me for import and handling fees 68 euros (about 60 GBP) on an order that was 85 in total. VAT is 23% so about 20 GBP and the rest there fees. Note to self ,next time order from Aliexpress .Not Robs fault of course Malt Miller...

Re: beer line length
From China. Ask them the mark the value down on the packaging, to avoid import charges. They normally do anyway, but best to request they do when ordering. They offer a very reliable service too. many thanks, food for thought. I like the china cap idea as it allows smaller couplers than the sankey o...

Re: beer line length
Sankey (and corny) kegs are not really designed for unfiltered beer. Although long dip tubes drawing beer from the bottom are fine with a little care, floating dip tubes are much better for unfiltered beer. Why they’re commonly used in the industry these days. I wasnt aware of floating pickups othe...

Re: beer line length
Both work fine, but my couplers are standard, without PRVs. Personally, I prefer to have PRVs and find the convenience of ball lock disconnects difficult to resist. I have american couplers with prv but they are a bit bulky.Ialready have some unused ball lock coupler and therefore decided to go thi...

Re: beer line length
60 cm with no gas connected until the beer stops flowing. Temperature 10 °C using a float takeoff. When the flow rate slows to a dribble give it a short burst of gas. Forget those 'Mercan' carbonisation calculators they only work with bottled beer and the line length calculators are even worse ! Ia...
