Beer line cleaner and rinse. That works for me.
Thanks, do you drain the beer line and cylinder dry?

Storage of Beer Engine or what to do when not using it

Any tips on storing your beer engine when not using it? Do you empty it out? Run sanitizer on the lines? Keep water stored in the Cylinder? etc

I'm a little worried about the Cylinder getting moldy or off-flavors. Thanks.

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Looks like a nice little stout. I'm still playing around with the sparklers.

Re: Beer Engine With A Cornelius

What did you end up decided for this setup? Corney kegs or polypins/cubitainers?

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Getting ready to flip this Cubitainer for serving that has been conditioning for about a week and a half. It is a Holiday Best Bitter. First one to go on the new pump and I'm stoked. I used the Conan strain of yeast which has English origins, but doesn't floc out too well in a dry hopped beer. Recen...

Re: Beer Engine With A Cornelius

I just recently tried this and its possible, but I'm moving towards polypins or cubitainers (in the states). It is hard to keep that 1-2psi without a cask breather. If you are going to consume the beer in a few days than you could just pull the vent and let 02 get in to not create a vacuum. I did th...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Thanks to everyone that helped me get this setup here in the States. I cleaned this Angram CQ up and just ran a test of my Innkeepers Bitter that I brewed this fall with homegrown cascade hops through it. It was just a growler that I had saved. I noticed that the .6mm sparkler is a bit too much, may...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Is 1/2" tubing and ideal size to run off of your beer engine? https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=115615 I'm also interested in setting up a 3-way valve similar to this setup https://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=62847 and was wondering what to look for, found these - ht...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Thanks, the only thing I’m worried about is the beer coming from the cubitainer that is naturally conditioned out to the engine and just running out of the neck. I want to simplify this, so I suppose you could technically just turn the spout off on the cubitainer at the end of the session, then flus...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

As I'm in the US I'm not able to get alot of parts and was wondering if this check valve would work on a beer engine setup: https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=75239&catid=489&clickid=popcorn I'd like for it to serve the same purpose as https://rlbs.ltd.uk/check-valve-high-performance...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Sorry for the confusion about the polypins, that's what I've seen them called in my research. To confuse it even more, they are called Cubitainers in the US and someone registered the trademark :( https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=135328 I ended up with an Angram CQ and will be gett...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

Thanks for the information - Goosey, can you describe your setup from your Engine to the bag? Do you have a demand valve hooked near the engine? Also what do you do in between sessions? Do you flush the engine with water? We have cubitainers here as well and I'll be using those and possibly my corni...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions

This is where I got the idea about using the Polypins (the bags), seems to be a great pour on that beer:
