Re: Making a simple English Mild.

Here in the U.S. we used to be able to buy Paul's mild malt, but sadly it doesn't seem to be available any more. We can buy Malting Company of Ireland "stout malt". Anyone know if that is the equivalent of mild malt?

Re: Avangard Malz

Avangard only recently got into the home brew trade, having served the commercial trade. I have used their pilsner, munich, and pale ale malts, and find them to be high quality.

Re: Bored of Nottingham!

Poor ole Brits.....can't use liquid yeast because it comes from the good ole U.S. of A. :D For a great dry yeast for making bitters and the like, I like Munton's Gold. Flocs great, and leaves a little fruitiness. And it comes from your island! Nottingham has that tartness that I do not care for, exc...

Re: CASTLE MALTING: BELGIAN STYLE IPA

I just bought a sack of this abbey malt for $20. Trying to google a recipe, all I end up is this thread with you bickering posers.

Did anyone ever brew with stuff and has an actual report?
