I believe male plants are quite rare in the wild but, Did you notice if the plant you took the cutting from had hop cones on it last year?

You wouldn't be the first to waste time carefully nurturing and producing a lovely male. :D

I use the layering method, or you can split the rhizome at the root.

look at priming sugar guides, there are a few online guides to tell you how much to prime for the different carbonation amounts for different beer styles.

TC is alcoholic, and the strength depends on the amount of fermentables, it takes around a week to ten days to ferment, then its bottled with sugar and left a week or so to carb up and can then be drunk, but its best if left a few weeks to a month before drinking. I've posted my two regular recipes ...

I regularly use yeast from the fridge that is a month old and have used some that was almost 6 months old, as stated though it loses its vigour and takes a bit longer to wake up the longer its stored.
