Re: KK or CK
Hi I have just started using king kegs with a pub gas set up exactly like this one: http://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3386&p=362072&hilit=king+keg+co2#p362072 I pour from a dalex tap with a flow control I got off flea bay for less than a fiver. I've mounted the tap through a she...

Re: King Keg Lid Stuck
Managed it by pouring boiling water over the lid to expand it. Still a sod to shift it mind. Bought a boa wrench for next time for a couple of quid off flea bay.
Thanks for the ideas lads.

Re: King Keg Lid Stuck
I've just been "grunting" with the damned thing for 20 minutes in the shed. I'd like to think I have understanding neighbours but to be honest anymore and I think I'd call the police...

King Keg Lid Stuck
As it says in the title really. Just tried to get the lid off my King Keg after the first use (2nd hand Keg). Had gassed it up with a pub gas system, have released all of the remaining gas but the lid is stuck fast. Smacking it with a hammer has only managed to break off one of the black grips. Had ...

Re: King Keg conversion
Hi Russ,
I have copied your king keg conversion. Just wondering what pressure you use to force carbonate in the kegs and for roughly how long. Also what pressure do you serve at?

Re: King Keg Valves
Unfortunately I've just had a crack at cleaning them up with a wire brush and one has pretty much disintegrated and the other won't budge, even with WD40. Think I'll just order a new lid with S30 valve and a replacement S30 valve for the other lid. At least the kegs were free! Thanks for the prompt ...

King Keg Valves
Could someone please let me know what valves I have on my two newly aquired king kegs. I was hoping that they were S30's but I'm not sure. Also they look a bit corroded, is there a way to clean them or check that they are working, or do they look shot. If so I can always replace them with new S30's ...

Re: Dalex Tap Question and Basic Corny Set Up
Blimey Chris that was thorough! Thanks for your help. Should the 3/16" Beer line just push fit into the back of the tap then? and then I assume I just either get a ball lock out connect for the corny with a 3/16 fitting or get an adaptor to fit it. Do you know what size nut I need for the back of th...

Dalex Tap Question and Basic Corny Set Up
Hi, I've aquired a dalex tap that I want to hook up to a basic Corny set up but need to know how to connect the tap. This is the tap: http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll275/garethc_2008/Brewing/Photo003.jpg And this is the back of it: http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll275/garethc_2008/Brewing/P...

Re: What sort of FG should I be getting?
Last few Coopers stouts I've done have all been with either Med or Dark DME and have have finished at about 1014.
Just bottled one that was made with Coopers Dalrk Liquid Malt Extract and that only went to 1015.
All have been very tasty!!

Re: Completing Fermentation ready for a Corni
Hi Chris, Thanks for your advice on this, just have to see if I can pursuade SWMBO that cornies in a kegerator are worth it so that she doesn't have 40 bottles sat in the kitchen for a week or so to get them primed! Expect more questions over the next couple of months if thats OK, including where yo...
