I used it for a few batches (though that is going back 10+ years now). It was a nice yeast but it is a priming yeast as Dennis says, so it makes a very dry beer.

I can’t get the lid off my bucket!

Am I such a wimp? Is there a knack to getting lids off?

It's a new bucket, the ones with the red lid that Malt Miller sells.

There’s no other roast malt in the recipe though so 10% chocolate seems on the light side if anything.

Absolutely the yeast. That orange marmalade is in Chiswick Bitter too which as far as I know doesn't contain any fancy modern hops.

Absolutely. In fact this is what German brewers tend to do. They insist on distinguishing between bittering hops and aroma hops. In fact a German brewer would be quite shocked if you proposed wasting your lovely Saaz hops on bittering, they'd tell you to use something higher alpha and more neutral l...
