Figured it out!
If anyone wants the binary image with the fix in it then let me know and I can host it somewhere. Just need to tell me what kind of ESP device you're using, NodeMCU 1.0, Wemos D1 etc.

No, the code still formats dates US style. I found the bit of code which performs the formatting but couldn't get it working with what is a simple fix. Will try again.

Re: Cheap Internet temperature logger
Hmmm, just uploaded Brewpiless to a NodeMCU board and nothing happens. A blue LED on the board comes on and stays on but no access point is started up.
I've not got any peripherals connected to the NodeMCU, perhaps it's barfing, expecting a display, temp probe etc ?

Raise it as an issue on Vito's github webpage, he may introduce a date format option.

Re: Cheap Internet temperature logger
How is it failing ? Can you compile the code but not upload it to the Nodemcu ? Or doesn't the code compile ? If you're having issues compiling it then check you have the right version of the Arduino IDE + the ESP8266 boards plugin. Instructions to setting up the Arduino IDE here https://github.com/...

I tried a pint of "bread beer" made my a London brewery before Christmas. It was a lovely pint with plenty of hop character.

CO2 in Surrey/Hants
Now that the Guildford Calor @ slyfield has stopped selling CO2 cylinders, I'm after an alternative source. Guildford put me on to a place in Woking but apparently they want £80 deposit + £30 for the gas which compared to the old Slyfield £18 all in price isn't too tempting. Anyone found a decent pl...

Re: Anyone used the ESP8266
You tell Alexa to "find devices" and it pings out discovery messages on your local wifi network. The firmare on the Sonoff responds and tells Alexa that it's a wireless switch. You can then issue "Alexa, turn <device> on" type commands (you can change <device> to be anything you want as part of the ...

Sounds like they don't know what they're doing (or whoever is doing the bottling doesn't).

For info, there is a BrewPi port to ESP8266, a device you can pick up for under a fiver. No Pi required.

Re: New Sodastream adapter - again!
I recently modified a Sodastream unit to connect up to a cornie gas-in disconnect via a run of beer line. Pretty easy to do and it could be converted back to being a Sodastream if necessary. Got the idea from a post on here a few years back but have only got round to making it
