Bit late to reply but the iSpindel can connect directly to the BrewPiLess controller without the need for an internet connection. BrewPiLess creates it's own Wifi hotspot which you point the iSpindel at.

Re: Crossmyloof yeast
I've used the Californian yeast once so far. Focculation is lower than S04 / Nottingham but the yeast performed well and left a clean tasting beer. Would use again.

Re: Grainfather or Bulldog Brewer
It was the iOS Apple version. At two different temp change points it tried to set the wrong temperature. i.e. it wanted to mash at 71 degC which was actually the strike temperature.

Re: Grainfather or Bulldog Brewer
I doubt there would be an issue with the GF chiller, it's just a CFC and they're very easy to clean. Used a GF yesterday for the first time, impressed, all very easy. However the mobile app seems a bit buggy and wanted to set the unit to the wrong temperature on multiple occasions (had imported a re...

Re: Arduino code help for temperature controller
That's great, well done! If you need any further assistance, PM me or just post on here. We'll get you on to using ESP8266 devices rather than Arduino next, built in WifiStoat on a rope wrote:

As above, did you use an Oxyclean type cleaner on the bottles ?

Re: New larder Fridge.
OK. Don't put the probe in a thermowell then. Measure the ambient fridge temperature. The wort volume is very large and will take some time for the temperature to adjust to reflect the heating/cooling being applied. This will lead to over heating / cooling. Much better to set the ambient fridge temp...

Re: New larder Fridge.
Can you clarify the question ? Are you looking to use the beer or ambient temp to control something ?
If you're using an Inkbird or similar to control the fridge temperature then you need to use the ambient temp inside the fridge not a thermowell inside the fermenter.

Re: Cheap Internet temperature logger
I've already got the Wemos D1 and am planning to use the Wemos battery shield (which I've already got on order) for the Lipo battery management. The accelerometer, temp sensor and PET tube are all on their way via Ebay. £10 for two of the PET tubes delivered. I've got a 3d printer so the sleds shoul...

I asked the OP not to spray the forum with multiple requests and to just keep one. That's why it's here and here only. But you raise a good point in that this part of the forum probably isn't the best place for it.
