Re: Beginners brew in the garage

Did you know, I had bins to hold grain, and the rodents managed to chew through them....

It was then contaminated so had to throw away and buy new bins.

Re: Beer Life Expectancy in a Cornie

Well, micmacmoc

That is incredible and testament to how Hardy a beer can be if isolated from oxygen.

4 y o stout....

No ill after effects then? Except maybe a sore head....

Re: Beer Life Expectancy in a Cornie

Hey Jocky Some amazing insight. I guess I just need to find a way and do it!! I have needed an excuse to work on the space for a corny :) Start saving for all the paraphernalia and get brewing I guess. I have never tried a lager, because of the lack of chilling, so will be another great excuse to ge...

Cheers Top Cat

I think you are right. I know I would be very satisfied and cleaning/bottling is a chore.

Re: Beer Life Expectancy in a Cornie

Hey Jocky

So i see. So for convenience and to be able to pull a pint on draft though, the corny is the aspiration.

Re: Beer Life Expectancy in a Cornie

Thanks very much f004br, for the rapid response. All really good answers and the need for cooling adds the cost of using a cornie in total. At the moment it costs me the price of bottle caps to bottle my beer. I would have to budget/save for cornices then, not to mention get a decent space available...

Beer Life Expectancy in a Cornie

Hey All I generally brew and bottle, mainly because it is convenient to store, share and drink over time. I am not a heavy drinker and I normally brew in batches of 20l giving me 10-12ltrs to bottle. 20 bottles can last me a few months even with giving some away. My bottle brews last me the period u...

Re: Help with All in One Pot

Ta, I have read lots of reviews and watched a ton of you tube on them. People love them both, and both do the job. You are right though, the robobrew represents the best value. Both appear to be good quality as well. I am just wondering what makes the robobrew cheaper. You always pay for what you ge...

Re: awaiting my brewziilla 3.1

I did also reach out to the supplier to ask if the setup is capable of brewing smaller volumes such as 13-15ltr FV. I mainly work on 13-15ltr into the FV to yield me 10-12ltr racking amounts. This is perfect for me as it means I can keep brewing different styles without havig to keep a lot of stock....

Re: awaiting my brewziilla 3.1

Hey Pal

Really interested to hear you views once you get it setup and complete a brew.

I am waiting to press the button on for the same product from Angelbrew.

Haven't pressed the button yet as they are not expecting stock until end of Aug.

Re: ABV Higher than expected, too much yeast?

Cheers pal. One thing I do do, is keep detailed notes. Mainly because I have done different brews All the time and just started going over older brews I liked the most. I am using a book and paper, but will look around for a decent around brew day app. The market is full of them..... Am trying Brewf...

Re: ABV Higher than expected, too much yeast?

Thanks, the beer is actually fabulous and tastes just how I wanted it to., so I guess no issues to report. A drinkable beer is always the goal. I thought the attenuation was actually on the good side as well with no changes to my routine. First time using wyeast though, with the snap pack. I usually...
